A Visit to Pilchuck and LaConner

Since I had some down time here in Seattle due to a cancelled course, I decided to got up to Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA and visit with Anna Boothe who is teaching up there for 3 weeks.  Amazing, amazing place.  I have never been and maybe one day I can afford the time and the money to actually take a workshop there sometime.  I received a great surprise as I was walking around Anna’s class….a very close friend of mine, Eileen Biggs, was standing there working away. A very pleasant surprise….and she was gracious enough to actually give me a tour around Pilchuck.  Loved it.

From there I headed to La Conner, WA to go and see the exhibit that is on at the Museum of Northwest Art.  Great show and I hope some of you that are attending GAS in Seattle will have a chance to go and view the show.  Very nice work.  LaConner is also a favorite little town of mine…..I always visit when I am in the area.

Well I am off to go volunteer at the GAS conference for the next 3 days and I hope to see some familiar faces.
